Characteristics
Like other nuts, pistachios are high in unsaturated fats. These are the “good” fats. Compared to other nuts, the pistachio nut contains fewer calories and more fiber, which is beneficial for weight maintenance. So if you want to watch your weight, you’ve come to the right place with the pistachio nut. Another advantage is the content of phosphorus, which, together with calcium, is good for bones and teeth.

Origin
The original origin of the pistachio nut is not known, but it is almost certain that they come from the Middle East. Pistachio nuts can now be found in countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Greece, Italy and America.

Application
The pistachio nut has a unique, typical pistachio flavour, slightly sweet and easy to combine in sweet dishes.

Bible
The pistachios are also known as the original prehistoric snack! It is also one of the oldest flowering nut trees. Humans have been eating pistachios for at least 9,000 years. In addition, pistachios are one of the only two nuts mentioned in the Bible.
